Natasha went to Prom!!!

Natasha loved the prom and was voted onto prom court!  She looked beautiful and was full of smiles.

As of today, we are waiting to hear the possible earlier move-in date, otherwise she will be here as of May 30th! 

We are so blessed for all the people who have been involved in this huge transition for Natasha and for our family too.  We would like to say, "Thank you"!

Update...

As of today, we have been informed that the funding for Natasha has been approved and she may be able to move in sooner than we thought.  YAY!  All of our prayers are being answered recently and the Power of God is shining through!  AMEN!

Thanks to everyone for their prayers and thoughts.  We have been very grateful and touched by all those involved.  Thank you!

Update...

As of this week we were informed that Natasha's funding for her work program is delayed, therefore she is moving in on May 30th!  Only 2 weeks later but a long 2 weeks for her.  She will be home every weekend this month except this weekend due to previous engagement.  We will see you at church the following Sunday.  Please continue to pray for the transition and thanks to all for making Natasha feel very welcome into our church community!  God Bless and Thank you!

Official Inspection...

Our inspection is on May 10th!  Natasha should be with us by mid-May! 

Bedroom furniture...everything is complete!

Natasha's Bedroom and bathroom are finally done!  We would like to thank everyone that was involved in any way.  We will be having a party closer to warmer weather.  The walk through is scheduled for Monday and inspection is coming up shortly.  Natasha should be with us very soon!

Welcome to Natasha's Island Paradise!

Finishing up this week with floors, trim, ceiling, and outlet covers...touchups along the way!

Almost done...

Priming is completed.

We begin painting the trim and walls this weekend.  Stair railing are getting put back on the hall stair and playroom stair.  Monday the floors get installed.  We chose Spanish Maple for the bedroom and a nice greenish tile for the bathroom floor.  This project is coming to an end by next weekend.  More pictures on Sunday evening!  Keep the prayers coming!

Priming tonight!!

The renovation is moving right along and in a timely manner.  Ray and Ray are wonderful and have put a lot of time and perserverence in this project.  We are priming tonight and painting tomorrow night.  We chose blue for the sea/fish bathroom theme and sunrise yellow for the bedroom...an island/airy retreat feel.  Natasha came home to visit this past weekend and could not believe the amount of work that has been done so far.  She is very excited to call our house, HOME!  We love you Tasha!

Wow, the garage door gone and the wall put up!

Scott has offcially emptied out the garage in preparation for the renovation beginning tomorrow.  As seen in the photo, the front room is her bedroom and the bathroom through the doorway.  An exterior wall with a window will be replacing the garage door.  We will have the floor raised and leveled, new windows, and handicap bathroom fixtures installed.  Ramps will be portable and available for Natasha at the front door and front step.  We are extending our driveway to allow for comfortable and safe loading and unloading of the van.  A sidewalk will be built alongside Natash's room to allow access to the back patio for summer BBQ's!  Shutters will be placed on the windows, along with 2 beautiful flower boxes for Natasha to plant her favorite flowers!  Gavin and Audrey are very excited about this renovation and can't wait to have Natasha here to live!  Our blessings have been answered and our prayers continue to make this transition smooth for everyone.  Like my son keeps singing today, "This little light of mine, I'm gonna let it shine..."  AMEN!

Garage Cleaning Day!

Here is Scott cleaning out his garage!  We will finish this process by next weekend.  Contractor will be here by March 14th!

We may not be missionaries to a remote country, but we are missionaries to our hometown!  AMEN!

History of our new addition, Natasha

Natasha entered our lives about 4 years ago and has been part of it since.  She is from the Philadelphia area, moved to West Chester, and now is coming home to us to live and spend her life. 

She has been diagnosed with CP and will always use a wheelchair for her mobility.  She has touched so many lives and she may not even now it.  Her laughter and quick wit can fill a room.  She is loving, kind, loyal, honest, and a genuine person. 

We want to welcome Natasha to our household and look forward to providing her with love and unity as a family. 

We will post weekly as the renovation is complete.  Please feel free to comment or ask questions.  Please continue to pray for us as a family and that the transition for Natasha is smooth.
